Section 88 and 89 of the 1999 constitution gives the red and green chamber of the national assembly the power to investigate anything. Apart from the scrutiny, they had within the framework of the constitution to ensure things are done as at when due, this is more reactive than proactive. We are at a point where the citizens are loosing trust in the leaders. Citizens are now aligning with terrorist not to fight but to beg for their lives. In order to enforce the trust of Nigerians it is only proper for the executives by virtue of Mr President to kickstart the investigation of why so much money is going into security but we are not getting the desired outcome.
